December 2007 Speaker   


The Pacific Coast Cichlid Association is proud to announce our own pass PCCA President, Conservation & Grants Chair, and PCCA life-time member, Mr. Chuck Rambo as our speaker on December 8, 2007.

Mr. Chuck Rambo is a long-time member of the American Cichlid Association, ACA's speaker program chair, ACAís annual convention chair, ACAís advertising chair. In the summer of 2000, Mr. Chuck Rambo, Conservation Chair of the American Cichlid Association (ACA), announced the establishment of the Paul V. Loiselle Conservation Fund for the conservation of rare and endangered cichlid species.

In addition, Mr. Chuck Rambo was recently made a Fellow of the ACA for his work. Mr. Chuck Rambo has been involved with the captive maintenance of endangered Lake Victorian Cichlids for over a decade, and has talked about their decline at the hands of the introduced Nile Perch and strategies for their captive breeding and maintenance by dedicated hobbyists to aquarium clubs all over the country. Due to massive collections from African exporters, several cichlid species from Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika has become extinct in their natural habitats. Mr. Chuck Rambo also is one of pioneer persons for Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika endangered species project.
