June 2007 Speaker   


The Pacific Coast Cichlid Association is proudly to announce our Mr. Steven Lunblad as our speaker on June 9, 2007.

Mr. Steve Lundblad has been in the tropical fish hobby since the age of 7. By the time he was in high school, he had opened up a tropical fish business called the Cichlid Exchange, in his parent's basement. He also owns and manages a tropical fish store, Wet Spot Tropical Fish in Portland, Oregon that has been called "A great place for the real aquarist!" It is packed on Saturdays and rainy weeknights.

He has traveled to Lake Malawi several times, his most recent, July of last year as well as to Peru, Mexico, Brazil and even Lake Tanganyika. He is currently raising 35 different varieties of the genus Aulonocara.

With his speech on June 9, 2007, "Aulonocara,"(A.K.A Malawian Peacocks) he will bring us back to Lake Malawi. It is a home one of the most beautiful African cichlids and everyone favorites, Aulonocara species.
